Nellja Allen, a native of New Jersey, has spent the last 8 years in the Dallas area. While in Dallas, she participated in several film/TV projects, including: Dr. Deadly's Theatre of Horrors as Cadmia the Red Witch; Taking the Turf (Houston), as Mayor Janet Suma; and Seaside Serenade as Detective Marilyn Carr. Her theatre credits include: The Boy Who Drew Cats (Dallas Children's Theatre), and Cloak and Dagger (Pocket Sandwich Theatre). She has recently moved back to the New England area, in Nashua, New Hampshire. Nellja speaks fluent German, along with an excellent pronunciation of French. Her upcoming immediate plans include a renewed study and mastery of French and working with a pianist, so she is excited about opportunities in the French Canadian and Boston area cabaret scene. As a high-mezzo soprano, she has operatic training but leans more towards cabaret, German folk songs, and show tunes. She is also focusing on the busy Boston indie film scene. Nellja's hobbies include: costume design sketching, writing poetry and short stories, and training her favorite cat- Kabuki (i.e. Cadmia's familiar) to do tricks. |
